I did not want anything nor expect anything, but my sister gave me a bunch of bollywood movies, chocolate and liquor for what she calls a fun night, I guess even she gave up on thinking I could have a sexy night not alone anymore.
My mom gave me of the traditional wooden smokers which I really love.

Actually it's a sweet shortbread. Rosemary works really good for it. I just added a scant T of finely chopped rosemary from the bush outside our house to a traditional shortbread recipe. It came out a bit too crumbly, but it tastes pretty good. It went to battle against my dad's signature single-malt scotch shortbread last night.

I don't know how things work on your wacky coast, but Rosemary is used for landscaping all over out here. My bank's drivethrough is planted with Rosemary in a raised bed, so you can covertly harvest some as you drive through. Keep your eyes open, as you may see some, and it's like 2.50 for a couple of fresh sprigs at the grocery store, which is like paying for lawn clippings out here.

Decorative cabbages are the popular landscape plant. And bunches of native tall grasses. I was thinking about doing aromatic plantings that are cold weather tolerant. I have a lavender plant right now but I need to plant more. That way my garden is more than just ornamental.

My family got me the same things. And none in enough of a denomination to actually purchase anything at those stores.
Those "Gift Card Mall" stands in places are terrible. Now people buy other people 8 different $10 or $25 gift cards so the gift getter still has to go spend more money at every store they get a card for.

My wife got some of those last christmas. She said they were super-comfy. So much so that she wore them all day, just loving it. NOTHING's better than getting some nice casual, around-the-house footwear on Christmas and really loving them. It was like the perfect Christmas for her, just because of the slippers.

My family got me the same things. And none in enough of a denomination to actually purchase anything at those stores.
Those "Gift Card Mall" stands in places are terrible. Now people buy other people 8 different $10 or $25 gift cards so the gift getter still has to go spend more money at every store they get a card for.
crap, i didn't get those, but rather posted in the "what gifts did you make" thread
some mod rather recklessly merged those threads. a-boo.
and we just went to 2 stores, guys got a $50 from one, gals got a $50 from the other. *bam*

I gave my wife Ugg slippers too. They came a few weeks ago and because they are a very light color, she doesnt want to wear them on non carpeted areas for some crazy reason, and its driving me crazy. I spent good money on them and feel its going to waste, but they are hers and she will do what she wants anyway. Meanwhile, I regularly spot girls wearing the same ones in the mall, and they are all weather beaten and soiled, but they still look good and cozy on them. Go figure.

This is why I don't believe in adults giving gifts to one another.
It's absurd.
If you REALLY feel the need to give someone a present at Christmas and it's not a child or significant other, give them cash.
Otherwise, don't do anything.
Now you've given them a chore; they have to return the crap you bought them.

You know me as well as Greg.
I don't want any gifts...!!!
But, if you're gonna do it, don't fuck it up.
I won't post all my gifts here, because I'm afraid someone will start a MPW thread
for my relatives so they can get me better gifts...

i waterproofed them, so i wear mine like everyday when it's nice out. won't wear them in the rain or snow though. they are ridiculously comfortable. i have them in dark brown so if they get a little messy it might be camouflaged. (i hope)

I am still figuring the thing out. It does so much shit I don't even know where to start. A friend has the same one and we have an older Garmin, so he gave us all the map software he had and a copy of all his snowmobile trails, wicked!
