I generally dislike pears. Sometimes I enjoy their scent and rarely I enjoy their flavor.
But I usually do not like this fruit.

...pears are good, to often they have no flavour, this is the fault of the purchasing agent brining it to market. Keep trying, one day you'll be suprised.

Asian Pears...the texture is what makes the difference.

Asian pears have everything I hate about pears. Lack of flavor, gritty texture, no scent. Its like eating a mealy wax apple.

I find pears more juicy and flavorful than apples, but I hate the skin and how the pear shape makes it awkward to eat. Peel, slice and throw in a salad with cranberries, gorgonzola and walnuts.. yummy!
