Besides the printing, semiconductors, and the cut and sew textiles I don't think the others are decreasing any more than other jobs.

If 99% of us end up without jobs, do you know what percentage of Americans will complain about it?

I'll have a sober wampus explaing it to you in the morning on close up cam.
How is video rental not on there??
Blockbuster will be belly up by the end of 2010, and Netflix is already investing heavily in their on-demand delivery methods to account for the eventual decline of disc rental.
That industry is SO dead.

I think they were choosing industries that are affected by the "green movement"
i am confused as to why department stores are on the list....the one thing I always need to see/try before I buy is clothing, with the exception of tshirts

I think they meant places like Macy's and JCPenny's, as more and more people get their clothes from a walmart or target now.

Don't agree with the Post Office. For one, it employs wayyyy too many people, and not everyone ships what they get on the internet with UPS or Fed Ex. And its a government agency, so it doesn't need to operate at a profit.
Unrelated...the Post Office health plan (MHBP) is FANTASTIC.
By the way, this is extremely ironic coming from AOL, a company that will likely be dead within the next year or two.

Yea, no way the postal service is going anywhere. While people may send less letters, they order more stuff online which has to be shipped somehow.

The post office has been losing money more and more each year at an alarming rate. They have been forced to increase rates to ship packages and letters and even that hasnt made an impact.
Post office losses reach $4.7 Billion for the year (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/08/05/national/main5216012.shtml)

So does AMTRAK and WMATA and countless other agencies. They aren't going anywhere.
