I think everyone's purpose is to connect with something greater than themselves, and greater than humanity in general.

Maybe the idea of reincarnation isn't as crazy as it first sounds.

Perhaps those that do find this connection move on to another place when they die, while those that don't are "reborn" in this plane.

Not with memories of their previous life, but that energy, the soul if you will, doesn't leave this plane until the ultimate connection is made.

I don't look at my life as having a purpose per say. I live my life with the intent of seeing and learning as much as possible. I also try to be as optimistic as possible since the people I know who are always negative about life always tend to be in a negative situation.

On a personal level, I have more of a goal than a purpose. My goal is to fully engage in every moment and to minimize living in illusions. I think what makes most people discontent, unhappy, numb is lack of focus on the present.

on a professional, bigger picture level, my purpose is to facilitate cooperation between China and the US on climate issues.
