one of my friends had to get stitches after her mom's cat clawed her face this thanksgiving. cats are good for nothing except taking up cabinet space with fancy feast.

I went to the cat shelter for a kitten but fell in love with a one year old white cat called Malibu. I wasn't to keen on shouting Malibu out our street when looking for our cat as I didn't want the neighbours to think I was asking for a drink, so I called her Boo for short.

When she was 2 she gave birth to four kittens, one white and 3 black & white. We found it so hard giving them away, but at least they went to friends. We also decided to keep one of them, and called her Daisy.

The following year I went to a farm with a friend who was buying a Jack Russel and they also had kittens for sale. Well when I saw this gorgeous tiny white kitten with a black tail and one black spot on her back I couldn't resist her. Cat number 3 is called Kitty.

Kitty has a terrible habit of trying to get into the fridge when I open the door and when she was about 4 months old I didn't notice and closed the fridge door just about cutting the poor thing in half. She had a kind of siezure, slept for an hour and then got up and walked around as if nothing had happened. I felt so bad and still do because she hasn't grown much and at two years old still has not had kittens, which I'm sure is my fault. Something must have been damaged when the fridge door closed on her. She is a great little cat though and even my 3 chihuahuas love her.

Cats are great pets and friends, I'm glad I have them.
