yea but its too damn cold to do just about anything i'd suggest. walking around millenium park is pretty spectacular when its not freezing. go on a tour of great hot dog joints. eat awful pizza and watch people pretend its delicious. watch any sport in any bar. check out some kick ass blues music. eat in any one of their really famous breakfast places. see some of the worlds most famous paintings (and pretend you are ferris bueller) at the chicago museum of art. visit the rock n roll mcdonalds. go up into the sears tower and go onto that all glass ledge and look down. tour frank lloyd wright houses. check out mollys anyway for kick ass coffee and brownies.

and if you're still bored after all that....i cant imagine what else to suggest.

Was it a Chicago band? If it's a Chicago band playing the Chicago version of the Delta blues it's unusual that they'd be playing downtown or further north of there. If it was a band from Austin it makes total sense why they were playing downtown.

exactly why i mentioned it. they take making great coffee very seriously there, which you might not expect that. they use intelligentsia coffee which was ranked #3 in the country, and its really good. teas too. ive heard the hot chocolate is insane but ive never had it.

They've been awesome since old man Wirtz bit the dust a year or so ago. Even when their GM tried his best to screw the whole thing up, they were smart enough to see it and fire him.

Right now, its the best run sports team in Chicago, which, considering its local competition, is kinda like finishing first in the Special Olympics.
