What's the best way to watch media on my PC on my television?
I'd like to do it wirelessly (if possible). I have Windows 7 on a dell computer and watch tv from an amplifier that links up cable, blu-ray, dvd, etc.

Popcorn Hour (http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/) gets great reviews.
Also, this thing (http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/21/atlonas-hdair-wireless-usb-to-vga-hdmi-adapter-gains-audio-u/) looks like it might work, as well.

Do you have any gaming devices such as PS3 or XBox?

move your pc to your tv.
or
Use a HDMI to ethernet cable back to HDMI converter and use your tv as the dual display.

Fuck Apple right in it's filthy core hole. $229 for a fucking hard drive? Fuck you, that's one where the convenience is really over priced.

Especially knowing that I can build a linux pc for about the same price and just use boxee. Or I can get a first gen XBOX/or linux PC/or any other capable hardware (you hear that Greg? choices that can play MORE than ONE SHITTY format) and install XBMC.

Prices on some of these things are a little high.
There are a ton of banned Xboxes on Ebay right now for under $100, stream with TVersity and you can play any video or music, and view photos.
