Everyone on TV seems to have the most increible spacious houses and apartments. The only one that ever made sence for the person was Jerry's apt on Seinfeld

The Bundees house seemed pretty realistic, so did the Golden Girls.
Never believed that Monica and Rachel could afford that NYC apartment.

Good one, misti. Another realistic one was Sanford & Son.

I was going to post that but he was an architect so he had to have a cool house. I saw the bathrooms all the time but I guess we never did see a toilet. Hmmm

Unless the family was movin some kush on the side, there is no way that they could have afforded a house like that on what al bundy made as a shoe salesman. and no way would marcy and steve rhodes lived across the street.

Are you serious? They had 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, basement and garage. Not exactly the Taj.
But it was far fetched that as poor as they were they lived next to people that were supposed to be a successful childless couple.

The Cosby house didn't make any sense. Cosby had an office in the house that was done up, but they also had the basement all scummy. The basement office had windows, but the scummy part of the basement didn't.
The dining room is really hard to locate, as is the entire orientation of the upstairs. The staircase from the family room must be directly across from the staircase into the kitchen because the living room and kitchen are parallel, and the staircases are both on the back wall. If you had a staircase at each end of the upstairs hallway then the staircase into the kitchen should be in the front.
MC Escher designed this fucking house.

I can't believe I know this stupid factoid, but their apartment was a rent-control deal that was grandfathered from Monica's grandma.

It belonged to Monica and Ross's Nana, so it was either inherited or rent controlled from like the '50's.
That show with Jenni Garth and Amanda Bynes, one's a teenager and the other is like 30.They live in a huge loft in NYC that i am 99% sure would not exist for anyone who didn't pay 3 million for it.

I hate to admit it, but I knew that, too. It was a major plot point in at least one episode.

Brady Bunch: do you really think 3 boys and 3 girls are going
to share the same bathroom? Once Cindy stinks that thing up it's all
over, and the other 5 Brady kids are going to school with unwashed faces and bad breath.

Yes. My grandmother still lives in the same tiny house where she raised her 6 kids...with one bathroom for all of them.

I have a question. Was the rent control on Monica's apartment voided after they switched apartments with Joey and Chandler, thus meaning she had to pay current rates once they got it back? Just wondering
