I'm posting this in the Health Forum because let's face it - nothing transfers germs and disease as much as human contact.

Our antiquated custom of shaking hands with strangers is not only creepy, it's a sure fire way to spread sickness.

With swine flu running rampant, do you want to press your palm against another not knowing if he or she just sneezed into it a minute or two ago? Or if they washed their hands after defecating?

Disgusting.

Let's admit the Asians have it right and give one another a polite bow and be done with it.
