I tried to like it, but...
As anyone who has seen it knows, the movie is a lie. It only works well if the "actual" footage is "actual". But when you realize early on that the "actual" footage is just the same scenes from the movie re-shot with new actors, using the same sets even, the movie collapses. Some of the hypnosis scenes are kind of frightening, but the structure of the story isn't substantial enough. If they had taken the story and shot it as a straight fiction piece, it might have worked better. I don't know, I was just disappointed. Also, for laughs, look at a real picture of Nome, Alaska.
