I used to say to my wife everytime they showed JSlob w/o makeup that she looked like a meth addict.

I'm sure it's not too far from the truth.

I'm sure I'll watch a second season but you can't honestly tell me you think that anything good is coming from Vinny, JSlob, Angelina, Crying Ronnie and Sammi.

We know that Sammi and Ronnie are probably done so are they gonna fake getting back together to show us more drama ?

Even if they are really back together what genuine drama can they add that we haven't seen ?

JSlob ? More drinking too much and fighting w/ her boyfriend ?

I think the viewer numbers are misleading when you compare them to The Real World.

The reason being is that the Real World, with the exception of one notable time, is filme in various ocations which may not have much of a tie to the locals.

It's also made up of people from somewhat different cultures ( to surely include at least 1 gay guy ).

Jersey Shore was a " local " show to many people from NY and NJ and people could relate to the atmosphere and even setting.

It was also made up of essentially 8 people w/ a slight varioation on the same personality, likes and dislikes.

What is that 4+ million final audience when compared to the final of shows like Survivor or Amazing Race.

Another thing is when the Real World was in its infancy, and argably at its best, the medai exposure wasn't anywhere near what it is now.

I doubt that any of the first few casts of RW had webpages devoted to them.

The shows a success and I enjoyed every minute of it, for the most part, but I have mixed feelings about a new cast.

I think there's something to be said for keeping the people we know but I can also see it becoming redundant by episode 2.

As was pointed out here by a few people the finale wasn't vry exciting at all.

Now a new cast may not have the same feel and they could suck from the get go so who knows.

Sooner or later they'll be a Guido Challenge or they'll be the current Jersey Shore cast going against a cast made up of other MTV douches in one of those Gauntlet shows.

Now that'd I'd like to see.
