Ok I finally gave in and watched some of this show last night. It must be a Northern thing because I found it boring and rediculous that anyone finds this entertaining. I think that the next type of show should be set in the rural coal fields of KY - that's where the real trainwrecks are.

Cataldi was all about it on WIP yesterday. He wanted them in Avalon so they could flip out when the beach tag collectors came around to check their tags. He hates those guys so much.

I personally wouldve liked to see how they adapted to a Jersey Shore they werent used to. I mean they still couldve went to AC and Margate for that techno shit but for the most part you could see how they deal with a different kind of shore town.

The one reason Im kind of glad its not happening though is I like the fact that most people dont know how great Sea Isle is and leave it alone.

They're taking the Friends cast' approach.

What they don't realize is that MTV can either drop the show all together or just replace them w/ new meatballs.

Sure people were into the show this season but that doesn't make these guys must have stars now.

It's doubtful MTV could make another season as successful from a financial perspective.

I realize that nothing is going on during this time, but they're crazy to think people are going to care about them next fall after a summer filming. I realize that nothing is going on during this time, but they're crazy to think people are going to care about them next fall after a summer filming. Every day their shelf life is that much closer to expiration. Already, news about Jwow nude pics is a "who cares" story, and Snooki is now just an annoyance.

They're not crazy, they're proceeding in a way that will be profitable. Don't underestimate the power of the potential audience. Jersey Shore 2 will be a bigger hit than the first season.

This cast has a very finite shelf life. I think MTV knows that. What I think they should do is exploit this cast now while they still have some pop. Spin the whole cast off onto their own show where they drop them in different beach locales and see how they react with the locals. They could be filming them in some tropical location as soon as possible and have new shows ready to go in a matter of months. I think franchising the Jersey Shore wont work. Doing that makes it just what you said, The Real World. I do like the idea of moving the show to a different location. I think the main reason people went after them at bars and clubs is because they saw the cameras. I thinknow that they're famous unless there's major scripting even more people will be interacting with them just for camera time. I think they need to have the cast get out of Jersey. Maybe go to a foreign country where less people know or care about the jersey shore. I think season 2 gets huge ratings. Has anyone heard if Angelina gotten back in the show? or did she make the worst move in reality tv history and lose out on the payday?
