If you know somebody who served to keep our counrty free,
Stop by, or pick up the phone.
If you see somebody on the street in uniform, just stop for a minute and say "Thank you".
If you know of somebody who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, pause for a minute and reflect.

It's a simple thing, yet means the world to the men and women who protect us.

Thanks.

Thanks Mike, and everyone else myself and fellow vets greatly apreciate the recognition. Thanks also to my fellow veterans like Yojimbo, et al.

As a special tribute please read this about our famed WW2 Codetalkers (http://www.csmonitor.com/2009/1112/p90s01-usgn.html)

Also, please remember the ones who are still serving and those who lost their lives at Ft. Hood, just in a special place in your heart.

I would say that this is a holiday that often gets overlooked.

You all have a courage I could only hope to someday achieve.
