Some of the great, most memorable roles in film history have only taken up a few minutes of screen time, but left a huge mark. Even more than some of the "bigger" roles in their movies.

Here are a couple of my favorites. The first of these should be quite familar to any fan of O&A:

But the definitive small role taking a movie comes to us from "Network", which netted Beatrice Straight a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for about 6 minutes of screen time, the shortest screen time ever awarded an acting Oscar:

Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins. There shouldn't have even been a comic villian in that movie, Wilkinson was just too good.

Peter Stormare in Constantine. Totally awful movie, but playing satan as a rich creepy gay guy, brilliant.
