I was in Chicago last week for work and had a blast. Im a single dude in my 20's and am thinking about moving out there. I spent most of my time near Grant park but hung a lot in Wrigleyville. I thought it was awesome. I am thinking about moving out there. What neighborhood should I look in? Where can I find a decent place in a cool section of town for 250-400k? Any thoughts on the city or am I just overdoing it because I had such a blast?

No, the crime. While inner Chicago can be fun anything out side of that is at your own risk. I hung with my cousin in Chicago 2 years ago and we did not venture out of the central and touristy parts.

Great place to be in the winter if you do not mind snow, cold and winds.

I grew up in wester Mass. and spent a year in Chicago for Grad school. The winters here are not bad at all actually.

But not many people would like to live here. That is fine with me. I like it, that is all that matters to me.

Chicago's great. I'm biased, I grew up there and I spent my 20's drinking and carousing there.
Good times, plenty of chicks, affordable for a city.
But...
there's no way around it. Winter is brutal. Dark and cold.
