I like facebook. I find it more useful than twitter, as the ui is much friendlier. I still don't "get" twitter. People post idiotic randomness, then its extremely difficult to follow responses.

Yes I use Facebook but I don't use it as much as I used to. The site was a lot better when it was open to College students only. Now it's filled with stupid apps and games that collect your private data and other annoying features. If you find the invites, apps, games and all that crap annoying there is Facebook Lite which gets rid of some of the garbage on the site.

i actually like finding old friends and what not.

you can lock it up so that nobody can see your pic, nor view anything about you. they cant even click on your name or pic. this way, you are in complete control of everything.

I love hooking up with old friends on FB. I am not a person to sever ties with people in a negative way, usually we all just lost touch over distance and time. I have friends from school and all over the world, I get excited when a friend in Brazil remembers my name and finds me as much as a child hood friend from Germany.

you can use your real name and set the privacy to be invisible in their search engine. that way google can't pick it up either

right but each time you grant access to your profile for those games they still collect your private data that you have listed. Real name, phone number, address there are a lot of people out there that have those listed in their profiles.

The next thing Facebook needs to do is allow you to block invites. I can't stand when people send out invites to things like their podcast or i just updated my site with my podcast.

I use it.I've connected with a couple of old friends and I keep in touch with some family members.I also play a couple of games.Mainly Mafia Wars.

If the game updates annoy you just move the cursor over to the right and click hide.It will then ask if you want to hide user or application.No problems.My kid and her friends play all kinds of shit I have blocked.

Unfortunately that only blocks
that particular app. I've had to block friends entirely because they'd sit down and try tons of new apps at a clip, and I just grew tired of hiding apps every time they sat down in front of their computer. They need a way to block ALL apps.
