So post the worst ones here* and share the hate.

*"Ironic covers" are ones where lazy bands are just doing a piss take of someone else's song and clearly don't give a fuck because they suck balls. This is different than a cover song that is bad but the band doing the covering thought they were making something that was actually a quality tribute/homage.

Unfortunately, those first two aren't ironic. Those people all thought they were making something good. Good pick with the last one, though.

Probably, but there's not much irony. An ironic cover is where a band thinks they're doing a "clever"/"funny" cover of something that they or their fanbase thinks is a bad or cheesy song, or that at least the cover is supposedly self-consciously bad or "wacky."

Thank you guys for all the craptastic music. It's been entertaining me this morning. I'm enjoying this the way I enjoy a really bad movie sometimes. You guys managed to really dig up some of the worst garbage ever. That Ashley Tisdale person is by far the most wretched, and I don't think she's being ironic.

I actually really liked the cover of I Will Survive, it's better than the original. Cartman's cover of Pokerface is also better than the original, and is so cute. I'm going to go watch it again. Thanks for the entertainment people. It's a bad morning and I needed the distraction.

Yeah, I'm not really sure where that one is coming from.

Lou Barlow has never struck me as being very far into the "irony" thing, so I don't think that counts.

Besides, "Round and Round" is one of the few hair metal songs that I find musically interesting on its own.

I never took the Tori Amos stuff as ironic... that's from an entire album of covers.

True. She's got a ton of shitty (IMO) covers, but they very rarely seem to be coming from a perspective where she's trying to mock the song or come at it ironically.

I wouldn't necessarily consider the Cardigans' Sabbath covers ironic, either. Those were basically a tradition for them and seem to come from being genuine fans of the music as opposed to making them for a cheap, easy LULZ-kinda gag like the Hoobastank abomination above.
