I LOVED this network growing up...especially You Can't Do That on TV, Dangermouse and its spinoff Count Duckula, and Double Dare. Can you believe it was over 11 years ago when Ren and Stimpy made their debut back in 1991?

I used to love You cant do that on Television (although I do not remembr Alanis Morrisette), Double Dare, and there was some arcade game show on there too where kids competed by trying to get high scores on certain games...they chose what gams they wanted to play then had to set the high score...I dont remember the name to that one

My all-time favorite show on Nickelodeon was "The Adventures of Pete and Pete". They would have the coolest music and storylines. Their guest star list was pretty awesome too... Iggy Pop, Marshall Crenshaw, Chris Elliott, Syd Straw, Steve Buscemi, Ann Magnuson.
The coolest theme music of any show on Nick at the time, maybe top 10 of all shows of all time. Seriously.

Wow, there's like 5 shows that I loved watching on Nickelodean as a kid. You Can't Do That On Television, PinWheel, Welcome Freshman, Salute Your Shorts, and I'm not sure if this was on Nickelodean or not but it was called Today's Special. It was about a manaquin. Once you took of the manaquins hat he became a real man. There was also a movie losely based on this concept.
IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

HOLY SHIT I REMEMBER TODAYS SPECIAL..it took place in the department store and there was live action actors with puppets, one was some sort of a mouse. I never liked pinwheel. Clarissa was fun, Hey Dude sucked (remember that one) And that rip off 90210 show Fifteen. That sucked, thats where they had all them young bad Canadian actors and all your friends would make fun of the commercial that sported the line, "Matt, whats it abooot"

James,
HOW could I forget that show?!?!?!? Iggy was Nona Mecklenberg's dad! Can you imagine that? Iggy Pop as your dad in suburban New Jersey??? That would be SO cool!

I can remember all those shows. I loved Nick back in the day. I loved Roundhouse, Welcome Freshman, Fifteen was decent, What Would You Do? with the Pie Coster and Pie Slide, Clarissa, All That, Kenan and Kel, Pete and Pete, Alex Mack (had a crush on Larisa Oleynik and this was where Jessica Alba started fyi) and Salute your Shorts or Legends of the Hidden Temple? Omec rocked!
Ant, Spongebob ain't old school. But Spongebob still rocks pretty hard. Rugrats and Doug can be seen as that cuz they have been on for about 10 years.

That guy that used t do the sho with the kids looked like such a pedo, he always gave me the creeps. Especially when he used to do that Generalisimo guy...now there is a scene you will never see on a kids show again. A firing scene

I don't think anything on Nick could be considered Old School.
My kids love Nick Jr (Blues Clues, Oswald etc.) SpongueBob and the Action League are kid shows that adults can actually laugh at.
Someday I'll think of something funny to use as a sig.
