So Spider-Man 4 is in writing, and shooting will be starting soon.

Raimi has been interviewed about how "not good" Spider-Man 3 turned out. He stated that he was kind of pushed aside and builled into including Venom into the movie (which now has it's own spin-off movie). Raimi said he is getting back to the basics from 1 & 2, and is excited to get there.

Rumor from Bruce Campbell himself is that he will be having a big part in the upcoming movie . Some speculate he may play a villian. If so, I think Rhino or Mysterio would be great for him. Maybe Scorpion?

Also, Dylan Baker mentioned he will be back as Dr. Curt Connor in the sequel(s). As some of you may know, he eventually becomes the Lizard. I think everyone wants to see the Lizard asap.

As I mentioned, Venom is being greenlit as a spin-off. It would be cool to see it come out, and then him being back to fight Carnage with Spider-Man in a later sequel. As long as they get a real eddie brock, and not that 70s douche.

SO............Who would you like to see as Villian(s) in the next movies? Any crossover stuff?

I'd like to see these movies all line up for the rumored "avengers" movie, but I think that's way too ambitious so instead I'll just hope the next movie is at the very least watchable because three was worse than gi joe.

Same.

I would like to see them go with a another crossover/team-up with Spider-Man. I think Maximum Carnage would be pretty cool.

Michael C. Hall for Kasady/Carnage would rock.

I think 3 was an abomination in every way shape and form. From who they got to play Eddie Brock, to how the ooze got to Earth to Harry Osborns Goblin costume. Just completely horrible. I could wrote a plot that made more sense right here on the board.

But I have faith Raimi will get 4 back on track and watchable. As far as Campbell as a Villain I think hed make a great Mysterio. Personally I think the villain that would cause the most conflict in Peter Parkers life in the direction Raimi wants would be the Lizard. Fighting a guy he knows is a good man and friend while trying to beat him but not hurt him?

Why? Just because they make them doesnt mean you have to watch them.

Why? because theyre all the same. oh man, somebody or something gets special powers and theres an evil person or thing that wants to destroy the world. fantastic. that was awesome when i was 8.

like you said, i dont have to watch them. and i dont. but i did see 15 mins of spiderman 3 and it might have been the worst thing ive ever seen on a screen. so if that movie sucked so much and everybody thinks so, why the hell would you make another?

I think the best way to approach these movies is to do a trilogy

Make this one the forming of the Sinister Six. Bring in Clarke Duncan who played Kingpin in the Daredevil movie to play the same role. Realizng spiderman is cutting into his business.

You bring back Doc Ock (never really saw him die)
You have electro who gets his powers from cleaning up the doc ock explosion
Create the Scorpion and Shocker as new people and as someone said the Lizard
Have the 6th member be the black cat

Have the black cat get spidermans trust in Part 4, then betray him in #5 and at the end reveal that Norman Osborn is alive and really behind it all and have spiderman basically defeated with nobody to turn to or trust (i know this does follow empire strikes back a bit)

then have part 6 of the black cat betraying the six, and a big fight at the end with the goblin

Because Part 2 was phenominal. And Part 1 was good. And in Part 3 the director let the studio and the fanboys change his vision of how the movie shouldve went. And because he learned from his mistake and wouldnt do any more Spider-Man movies if he didnt have his control back.

Thats why.

Personally Id love the Sinister 6 angle. But I wouldnt even start to form them until the end of Part 4. Have the 2 main villains be the Vulture and Kraven the Hunter. That could be who Spider-Man has to fight. At the end beating them but they still manage to get away. Also introduce Ned Leeds. Betty Brants new husband and reporter for the Bugle. And you could introduce Quentin Beck (Campbell). Have the super villains be working for The Rose (Kingpins son) or even Tombstone. Then you could end it with a cliffhanger. Have the Vulture and Kraven licking their wounds back at The Rose's fortress, while he explains his benefactor has a new plan for them. As hes talking it pans to 2 guys in a lab, one with the Shocker suit on, working on his gloves, explaining they couldnt generate enough power. When theres a huge explosion, and all you see little electric currents running between the fingers of an unconcious guy.

So at the beginning of part 5 you already have Kraven, Electro, Vulture, and Shocker. You cant bring Doc Ock back because it just wouldnt make sense with the character. Youd have a better chance with Sandman but it would still wouldnt work after the way 3 ended. So you start out with the 4 of them recruiting Beck (as Mysterio), who along with the Black Cat just had a robbery foiled by Spidey. And then you show Ned Leeds following an old journal he found of Norman Osbourns to a hidden lair he had under the city. He finds the syrum, alters the costume a little and POOF, you have the Hobgoblin. The 6th member of the Sinister 6.

Vulture, Mysterio, Electro, Shocker, Kraven, Hobgoblin.

Then during part 5 you can have Professor Connor working on his regenerative formula, Spidey flirting with the Black Cat, and the 6 plotting their revenge. This gives him an ally against the 6 and possibly a 2nd (when the Lizard finally appears in 6)

Part 6 would just have everybody. Spidey, the Sinister Six, their benefactor (Kingpin), the Lizard, and Black Cat.

They're not.

I think you're meaning to say "all super-hero movies."

There are many ways I think the Rose would be so obscure, you bring in Clark Duncan then you have the continuity of other Marvel movies and he can be the kingpin. And yeah you could set it up with Kraven and another testing spiderman.

I think the thing is trying to have the continuity of part 2 while glossing over part 3, and instead of the hobgoblin you have to bring back Norman Osbourne as the Green Goblin for the final confrontation.

Having Kraven or Mysterio is equally good, and i just think bringing back doc ock would be cool as he is such an iconic villian that he would fit. And if not i think the way of introducint electro as getting his powers from the clean up of that accident would be good.

The key is to keep it so that the common fan would get it (which is how they could do it by following the star wars 4-6 movies) but still giving a nod to the comic nerds out there

And black cat is to me the key as the turncoat who leads spiderman into the trap but gets repulsed by Norman Osborn in part 6 to turn on them all.

I can see that.

Ive just recently found the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon on Disney and its friggin fantastic. Theyve introduced just about every super villain and they obviously take alot of their stories right from the comic books. They do change a few details here in there to make it contemporary but its by far the best Spidey cartoon Ive ever watched.
