It's an early 70's flick from England with Shelley Winters.
It's supposed to be a take on the Hansel & Gretel tale but not so much so.
They've been showing it on one of the cable channels and I've caught portions of it.
Has anybody ever seen this ?

Is it scary?
I might have seen some of this long ago.

Not really scary if you see it as an adult but I could see how watching it as a kid could be a bit disturbing.
There's a scene with the mummified remains of a baby in a coffin, a secret room where a kid is held captive, oh and English accents, which can really be frightening.

The story can be scary. Like this one. Not the one I was looking for though.

I thought I recognized the butler that blackmails her but when I looked at his profile on IMDB there weren't many movies of his that I would've seen.
Coch have you watched the whole thing ?
