They just announced it on ESPN. They read what sounded like a lawyer's statement, saying that Phillips was on "indefinite leave of absence", and went right to commercial afterwards.

She'd earlier contacted Phillips' 16-year-old son via computer. Hundley pretended to be a classmate, flirted with him and dropped hints that his parents' marriage was dying.
Creepy.
She's awful, but he's a chode for willfully putting his family in this position to begin with.

I actually liked him as a broadcaster. I thought he was pretty good.
In the story I read this morning he was checking himself into treatment for "personal issues". What the hell does that mean? I don't know for a fact, but this doesn't strike me as a drug/alcohol problem. I mean, you gotta be pretty drunk to fuck a chick like that ONCE, but when you go back a second time you can't blame the Jager.

He was in a no-win situation, and Deadspin and the NY Post exacerbated the matter. He should have learned his lesson after the Mets mess.
I hate to say it, ESPN did the right thing by firing both of them. He was unprofessional, but she was 10x worse.
Phillips will probably be able to get a job back somewhere down the road. The same will not be said for Hundley. She'll be all but blacklisted from working in TV/entertainment, IMHO.
