one of my obsessions is making useless connections.
I recently saw Ludaris doing a good job on Law and Order and he's done okay in a bunch of movies....
I also saw Harry Connick Jr. getting all angry on Australian TV and was thinking he's always done a good job in the acting business....
so I thought we could make a list.

Unfortunately his only scene in a movie was cut drastically by an asshole director.

Ok paul here is a legitimate one,
Ice cube.
I don't find him all that terrible in the few movies he's been in.
Recently its been kids movies that I will never watch, but before doing those he played decent roles in his adult movies.(Not porn you savages)

Actually the episode of of Law and Order SVU I was watching was one that featured Ice-T trying to help his son on the show....Ice-T has gotten very comfortable playing a cop long after he wrote the song Cop Killer

The Bacon Brothers are playing the little theater near my house coming up.
You've got Rilo Kiley, one of the great bands of the 2000s formed by former child actors Jenny Lewis who was in Troop Beverly Hills and The Wizard, and Blake Sennett who was on Boy Meets World and Salute Your Shorts.
Jenny Lewis' buddy Zooey Daschanel is a god awful actress and teamed up with M Ward to put out a record, and she just married Ben Gibbard.
Equally bad actress Scarlett Johanson has like 2 records out.
Milla Jovovich had a (I think) relatively successful musical career in Europe, I just remember her video on Beavis and Butthead.

I'll agree that Mos Def and Tupac are/were very good actors but these guys are a total sham :
Ice T
Ice Cube
Will Smith
They essentially play the same character in every role and not a good one I might add.
That's not to say I haven't seen them play 1 or 2 good roles ( Ice Cube was good in Boyz N The Hood and the 1st Friday ) but mostly they suck because they are predictable.
When you're ( Ice Cube ) taking over a role that was turned down by Vin Diesel than things are bad.

Netflix The Wizard, its about how nintendo helps autistic children get over death.
It makes you wonder if any Rilo Kiley songs are actually about Fred Savage. In any case, you have a band of kids who grew up in California, two of whom were child actors, writing and singing songs about how dejected people get living in California and chasing fame.
