I am trying to figure out how I set this up on one of my older computers, I recently got a new computer and can't figure out how I did this.
I have a windows vista pc I am trying to connect my macbook pro so I can browse files on the vista pc. With my old setup i was able to mount a disk from the pc onto my mac and drag and drop files between the two, and I have no clue how I set this up. Any ideas ? I have sharing enabled on both computers

Nah, he prob enabled samba file sharing, in 10.5 or higher you can add folders to share from the networking tab in system preferences.
Then all you have to do is go to my network on the win computer and the mac share points will show themselves...
Before 10.5 the best you could do is share one folder...but an app named share points let's you share more.
