this is where i keep mine on my fretting hand for guitar, but I have to grow the nails on my picking hand to a little over finger length, because I am a fingerpicker as opposed to regular pick

i asked a lady at a nail salon that i used to go to that same question. she says she grabs the paper using the middle section of the fingers (that section of finger after the nail part, if that makes an sense) in a pinching motion. the tips are not able to be used so its like they are not even there.
