No, of course it didn't.
What it DID send back are pictures of a spiral galaxy being torn apart a 10 million miles an hour by a not fully understood process involving COSMIC GAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS.

What a kickass photo. Every bit of light (minus those in the foreground that are part of the poor galaxy getting rocked by Unicron farts) are entire galaxies. Amazing stuff.

Basically, if the universe were a giant room and if you were in a ship traveling at the speed of light and just headed out in space in a straight line, and you maintained that speed for a million years, you would be no closer to the walls of that room than when you started.

very amazing indeed
i wish i understood how they
can tell how far away those galaxies
are from us
how in the world can you know
a galaxy is 13 billion light years away?
it is beyond the scope of my understanding

It is kind of scary how little we know about the universe.
Wow. Is there anything God can't do?

Apparently there's some boulder he made that even he couldn't lift.
