I've got an odd problem with my firefox browser. (ver 3.5.2)

Sometimes when I click on a link, it opens a new tab, loads the page, and when the page is loaded, it skips to near the bottom of the page instead of staying at the top.

It does that for this link:

but not this link:

Has anyone seen this or have any idea what to do about it ?

EDIT - I just updated to the latest version of Firefox which changed nothing but disabling all of my Add-ons seems to have solved the problem. Now just to re-enable them one at a time to find out which one is the problem.

EDIT - it looks like the "Roboform" toolbar was the problem

Mine does it too! Very annoying. I have no idea why. I use it on a Mac too. Weird. I thought it was just mine. If I try and go into the Hot Chicks thread, it bounces all around for like 2 minutes.

are you using roboform blackbird ? If so try disabling it.

Does anyone know of a good, secure, and preferably free password manager that works with firefox ?

Roboform is an add-on to your browser that saves your usernames and passwords, and automatically fills them in when you go to sites that require them.

I just updated to the latest version of roboform and it seems that they have fixed the bug.

Under Tools, I checked my add-ons and see I have none at all... Maybe thats why I have that problem? Oddly, I never have an issue with sites that I close to stay logged in all the time, like this one.

Xmarks? Synchs passwords.... Don't like the built in option?

Glad it is fixed. I looked through every option on about:config, and couldn't find anything that could be causing the problem. ALTHOUGH, when you install an add-on to Firefox, it does make new entries and config options for that add-on in about:config.

Also, while I love Firefox and will continue using it, there are a lot of little weird issues that come with using and its compatability with certain software programs. For instance, I have a Logitech Wireless Wave Keyboard/Mouse combo, and I have the SetPoint software installed. I am constantly losing focus with the forward and back keys of the mouse, to the point where I have to click on the taskbar, then somewhere on the page I am at to use the back/forward button. This repeats tons until I restart Firefox.

Another thing with the Logitech Setpoint software is when if my cursor is in a search field or a text box on a page, if I click the back button on my mouse it will insert Spade characters in the text box and not go back. Again, just an annoyance and a lack of proper programming from Logitech software devs.
