My sister had a pair of these, but in navy. I thought they were so cool. She passed them down to me, so I wore them to high school in the 90's. Got some grief for it, but after awhile my friends and schoolmates thought they were pretty cool. I liked being weird, so these were the perfect shoes for me.
(My sister made me give them back after awhile...biatch!)

I had a pair in junior high and thought I was the coolest. That's when 70s clothes were coming back kind of like 80s stuff is back now.
They're ugly and uncomfortable. Crocs are the newest incarnation. Still ugly but at least comfortable.

yes, the real clogs are wooden. how can that be comfortable. you're thinking of a slip on or backless shoe.

they are still clogs. Wooden is just a type of clog. Clog refers to the style of the shoe, not the material

If you wear them for every day for aboot 18 years your feet form to them. Then they are good.
Plus. Men wearing clogs is really gay.

Yeah, clogs were for the working man in western Europe. So what? They got smarter and realized that they sucked and started using leather for their work shoes.
Men wearing clogs for fashion purposes is gay.

Ok. Totally different. I've always referred to those as a moc.
I don't classify them as clogs. Clogs have wooden soles.
Your "clogs" (if you want to call them that) are ok. You have to admit that any man that wears the prototypical clog is gay.

I wouldn't call them clogs either.
I never thought clogs needed wooden soles, but I did think they were all backless.
I call those "shippers". It's a shoe AND a slipper...

Clogs are a type of footwear. There are four main types of clogs. Clogs can be a type of shoe or sandal made predominantly out of wood. They can be a type of heavy boot or shoe with sides, uppers and typically thick wooden soles, and may have steel toecaps and/or steel reinforcing inserts in the undersides of the soles. A clog can also be a special kind of shoe worn while clog-dancing (clogging). They are similar to tap shoes, but the taps are free to click against each other, therefore producing a different sound than tap shoes. Nowadays, "clogs" also mean comfortable slip-on shoes. They are often made out of leather, but some clogs keep the bottom part out of wood. All-rubber clogs are often worn while gardening, because they can be easily hosed off and allowed to air-dry. Some clogs come with heels, and are usually distinguished from mules by their higher vamp. It is commonly accepted that men and women can wear low-heeled or high-heeled clogs

Ok. I am going to say that todays footwear industry has bastardized the clog into something that it is not.
I am going to be a curmudgeon and maintain my thought that today's clogs are not clogs.
Those "snow clogs" that you posted are cool but I would never call them a clog. I would call it a slip on.

You can never believe that Rhino. Besides, he's Dutch, of course he thinks all clogs are wooden. His family still sports them.
