Remember Hypercolor shirts? You know you had one and had handprints in inappropriate places....

I used to sport the Cross Colours look with my early affliction of jungle fever...I owned the
"Love See No Color" t shirt.

One of the "fads" in recent years is guys wearing their collars up, or "popped" collars.

They all need to be beaten severely.

That fad has come and gone a lot. The local town lawyer in my hometown always had that look when I was growing up.

Of course, he also had the hottest wife in town as well.

In the early 90's I wore a lot of button down shirts with the sleeves ripped off...not just plaids.

I had a pair of lottos that had a Velcro logo so you could change colors to match your outfits.

I also used to wear timberland boots with shorts.

In the back of my t-shirt drawer are a couple Hang Ten t-shirts.
In a few years they're going to the Smithsonian.

Back in the day I also had a couple of those wide leather wristwatch bands that had snaps to hold the watch on there with.
The bands were about 2 inches wide.
Chaps like Burt Reynolds wore them for about 6 months....

My sister had one of these, and I distinctly remember using it to bedazzled my prized Def Leppard Tshirt along the edges of the sleeves. I then added a rhinestone as an earring on the lead singer.

purple, blue, red, green ... your choice. Who needed jordan's. All that suede for just 50 bucks. And so heavy they're impossible to play ball in.

anyone remember the infomercial for "the ultimate dress" or "the wonder dress"? I think that's what it was called.

I can't find a trace of it on the net. If was early 90's and it was a purple red yellow piece of fabric that when folder or tucked in could be 50 different dresses. The same dress can be worn to work, then shortened to go to the bar, then into a bikini for the beach. Every rendition looked like trash.

We're talking about FADS in this thread, not simple, unadulterated, bad taste.

I didn't succumb to many fads when I was growing up, other than the banana clip, seeing as how I wore a UNIFORM to school from Kindergarten through the 8th grade ... and not having older siblings or cable made it really hard to follow fashion fads because I simply didn't realize they existed.

Also, my parents were poor, so we probably couldn't have afforded any of the fad clothing until it was on the sale rack at the Sears Outlet anyway. (Which brings me back to my peach "big shirt" of which photographic evidence does not survive. I loved that shirt.)
