I think they're going to announce more dates, and it's shitty to put the one show on sale before you do that.

And so begins the backlash. I might actually listen to Brooklyn Vegans portion of Blogradio on XMU if thats the stuff he came up with in between playing songs that sound like they were composed in Mega Man's ass.
And I forgot what a live reputation Pavement had, which makes this funny.
I really really just dont want to hear people argue about Pavement for a solid year, and have to hear Dave talk about how he worships them next September.

I got two! This is the highlight of my live music going experience.
So, there's two show's now? the 21 and 22... This whole thing is odd. Rumor to pre-sale in a day?!

Where will the other 2 be? And where did this newest version of the rumor come from?

All four at the same place...I read that two days ago when the rumors started circulating about the reunion.

I thought it was ridiculous when I had to buy tickets 6 months in advance, but seriously a year? I can't commit that far in advance, but I wanna see it.

Damn, I hope I get to see them.
On a related note, the re-releases of their albums should be the gold fucking standard for this practice.

Not only are the re-releases the tip-top of top-notch but the Buy Now, Get Early deal Matador has been running on them is also brilliant. Those free LPs of live shows keep me interested in buying records I already own. Can't wait for Terror Twilight, though it spell the end of Pavement releases for a long time to come.
got my tix for day 3 yay!!!!
ive seen paves a few times (once with shudder to think <3333) and they were pretty shoegazery. still, excited to see em.
is it too much to hope for archers of loaf to reform and open for em?

Shudder to Think reunited recently. I'd love to see them again, and get another album.

i got to see s2t last year and it was amazing. they played a wider range of songs than when they were supporting an album. tho stu wasnt with them, it was nathan and craig and some other people. still awesome. they just released a live album from last years tour. i missed them this go round tho :(

Damn, I'm jealous. I picked up the live album and it sounds fantastic. I really like how they brought some of their earlier songs to more of the "glam" style they were doing so well by the end.

Pavement has been chosen to currate ATP next year, that could be good.

I hope they invite The Fall. They could have a brawl on stage.

For a lack of a better place to bitch about this Brooklyn Vegan breaks the Pavement reunion story, proceeds to bash them the very next day, and is currently playing them on the Brooklyn Vegan Blog radio on XMU.
Seriously, fucking kids today.

the NYC shows are supposedly "the last shows ever", so don't plan to catch them the next time they come through town.

Lets not kid ourselves, you'll be able to catch them the next time they'd like to cash a check.

That, and matador said there will be a tour following the NYC gigs.
