How local of a North Jersey term is this? Where does it extend to?
For those less fortunate, 'disco fries' are fries topped with gravy and cheese and served at various diners in the metro area.

Speaking of which, did you hear there was a mob hit at the Seville Diner a few years ago? Apparently the owner was mobbed up and they took him out in the parking lot.
http://blog.nj.com/ledgerupdates/2007/04/restaurateur_slain_in_east_bru.html
Also, the Colonial is no longer the "dirt" diner. New owners came in and cleaned up the place.
One of my favorite memories is eating a cheese burger at the Seville, half-drunk the night the Rangers won the stanley cup.

I've had them with melted slices of American cheese, but that was in Connecticut. When I was in NY, it would be mozzarella. The mozzarella is MUCH better, in my humble opinion. Still want some.....
