So I did a mobo, CPU, RAM upgrade.

Before: Some old Asus AM2 board w/ a 2.6ghz Dual Core Athon64 w/ 8gb of DDR2

After: Just released Intel i5 quad core @ 2.67ghz paired up with the also just released Asus P7P55D w/ 4gb of DDR3

What a god damn difference. GTA4 with near everything set on VERY HIGH and max resolution I'm now pushing 50fps w/ my Nvidia 9800 GTX+. This was around 25fps before the upgrade w/ shit turned down low. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

This CPU is scoring a 7.3 in Windows 7 little performance rating

a few months back i had to put in a new 250 gig hard drive and tripled the RAM on my laptop. it's like a brand new computer.

FSX doesn't use DX10 actually. It was introduced in SP1 and was optional to use and was only a "preview" of it with water effects.

Still that game runs like fucking asshole after eating Mcdonalds and washing it down with a six pack of hipster beer.

Crysis runs pretty good on this rig. I'm totally fucking happy I can stop worrying about system specs for at least another two years now

Stock 2.67ghz overclocked to 3.01ghz on air while eating Doritos. I've read this thing will go to 4ghz, but I'm not tempting that yet with stock air cooling

32 is fairly good, it is based more on manufacturing of the die, rated clock speed, and voltage. Mine is set at 24 for both die, average and could be pushed.

no, multiplier is at 21 BCLK is at 150 right now. Running @ 3.10ghz (up from 2.67). (32 was age in my analogy)

I'm going to slowly bump it up, as I've read this thing will do 4ghz on air.

Speaking of air, just slapped this bitch on the CPU. Idling right now @ 31 degrees Celsius. Not bad so far
