Lincoln Park Zoo.

It free to enter but you have to pay to park in its parking lot.

About a few blocks north is Molly's Cupcakes.

Where at in IL are you goin?

You can also stop by Millennium Park. depending on where your at

You could also take a walk around Navy pier. Parking is a bit pricey though.

Doesnt look like there are any events either though.

Ha! I should have known that this was why you were asking about starting a new thread. I thought you had to have 100 posts in before you could start one, so I posted a similar request in the "Chicago" thread (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=74105).

Check it out if you get a sec. There's already a bunch of suggestions from when Underdog was there last year.

But thanks in advance for any new suggestions that anyone has. :help:

I was born and raised in Bloomington, and still have tons of family all over that area. The wedding is up in Chenoa? Don't worry, I had to look it up too... I thought Lexington was small... Chenoa looks like another one-traffic-light-town.

We'll be staying in Bloomington, and the reception and junk are at the same hotel.

I think our cub scout troop did Funk's Grove when I was a kid. Ah, memories.

Never thought about Peoria.

Granite Peoria is no where as big as Chicago, but its a lot closer and they got a new addition to the Glen Park Zoo. I was actually there a couple weekends ago. Africa exhibit. My son is almost 3 (in november) and he liked it. Took about two hours to get through it all.

We're headed out around noon tomorrow. Looks like we've pretty much confirmed that we'll be in Chicago on Sunday afternoon, probably leaving out Tuesday or Wednesday.

We've got Molly's already programmed into the GPS. If Lincoln park is nearby, we'll probably do that area on Monday.

If you area coming up from the north youll pass right by the Zoo. Its roughly a mile or so south of Mollys.
