Back in my high School days about 40 of my closest friends and I would go to a spot in thw woods to party. We had benches a picnic table and usually a pony keg or a couple cases of Natty Ice. The cops would often come and chase us. There was always a fun time there. I lived in the woods though so this was commonplace.
Anyone else woods party or am I the only hillbilly on this site?

I remember my Woods Teacher bought us soda and chips at the end of the semester once. I got an A. I loved Woods Class.

Teenagers do that alot in Jersey. I learned that in my later high school years. The rednecks around here still do even after they are old enough to go to a bar and drink.
Grew up in Staten Island. We would always throw keg parties in the woods.
One spot we had we used to take furniture that people were throwing out and put it in the middle of the woods. At one point we have a gold and tassel 1970's livingroom set.
We had like4 different parts of the island with woods we'd drink our faces off.
Also used to throw them down at the beach and get hasseled by the Parks Department.
Moving to Old School since this is what I used to do back in high school.
We used to party in the middle of this nature preserve we had in town all year round. That place has since been subdivided. We also partied on the golf course.
Depending on what we could get from older brothers, we'd drink 12-packs, beer balls, 40 oz-ers and/or fifths of booze

Sounds very rustic.
Would you check yourself for ticks afterwards?

In n/w nj this was pretty common, nothing like being drunk in hackettstown in the woods and having no idea how to make it back to your ride.

Yea we occasionally still ger drunk is the woods but its usually no farther than where our trucks will take us.
The best was running from police through the woods in pitch black. So many people broke ankles and arms.

I grew up around cranberry bogs, so we used to go party in the sand pits near the bogs. We'd end up getting chased by the bog guys or by the environmental police. It was a lot of fun.

The popular woods drinking destination, and I have no idea why I'm saying this, was called 'fag rock'.
Not because that's what you did when you were there, but because it was near a big rock that someone spray painted the word 'fag' on. And it was forever known.

Yeah, but he said "popular," so there's no way he was ever there or anyone knew who he was.

the thing about the woods parties, always some creepy 20 year old heavy metal dude that got the keg and it was his tap. i think he sold cups for $5 and it was all you could drink before the keg dried up. what a freak to be hangin around 16 year olds in the dark woods. creepy shit when i think back on it.

we partied in the woods sometimes, typically we brought our tents and camping chairs. It was fun. We never ended up in the tent we were supposed to stay in.
There was a specific party spot in our town though. Her parents were gone most weekends. They had a pool table and later a hottub, so we just partied there, much more comfortable and the cops never bothered us. In fact, this is the place I met my husband.

I grew up in norf jersey and this was pretty standard in the 70's. There was this spot in the woods off route 208 in Franklin Lakes where the Crystal Lake Inn once stood. There was a river there and folks would get drunk and jump in the river naked. Seems like it's coming back because I hear about kids getting busted for drinking in the woods over in Hillsborough.

I used to do this with friends of mine in a county park. Small fire and everything. We only got kicked out once and I talked out way out of a LOT of shit that night.

Totally drank in the woods in Connecticut. Once we got caught by a cop, turns out he was an assistant wrestling coach at the school. He took our beer and chased us off.
Ah, miller high life tall boys in the woods. Good times.
Good times.
(don't get me started on our senior year jaunts to Jai Alai.)

I have a chipped front tooth from a party in the woods. I had to go for a pee and there was no flat spot to put down my beer so I held it in my teeth and proceeded to tip over forward (drunk much LOL) and smack the bottle off a log or something...it was dark so I couldn't see what it was.
We always drank warm beer too because you used your beer case as a seat, and also that way you didn't have to worry about anyone stealing it.
We would even party in the winter outside, dig a big pit in the snow make a fire and get wrecked so you didn't give a shit how cold it was!
Ahhh memories.

I'm with you, we were in a field surrounded by woods by the Ohio river, called it a "field party". We stole old tires from somewhere and burned them.
The area was called "Paradise" for some reason.
Bonus: to get there, you entered from a hole in a fence behind HUD apartments.

We had like 5 or 6 different spots, all with a nickname.
Beer, weed, chicks pissing in the woods, and 7 out of 10 times some kid from out of town would show up and get his ass beat simply because he wasn't from the same town.

The best ones we had were in fields owned by cool parents. They would tell the cops they can't come in (it would be too far in for the cops to be able to actually see if we were underage, or smoking pot). The cops would wait for people to leave, but we'd just put up tents and stay all night.

We left a fire burning and set the woods on fire. Burnt about 4 acres and my part of restitution was around $1000. To pay for the dozer fuel used to clear the trees and shit to stop the burning.
