I'm a nerd and a geek and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Ever since that show has gone off the air I've had a gaping maw in my chest and it aches for something important and emotional out of the sci-fi community. Abrams Star Trek just didn't do it for me, I'm sorry fans of the movie. Fortunately I look forward to "The Plan" coming in November on the awkwardly named Syfy channel.

I know Matty Fridays is with me on this one. Buy the DVD's if you haven't already people. This show was an experience you simply cannot depart this life without seeing.

It may seem odd to say this but I had a friend who's uncle was a big-time sci-fi geek who loved BattleStar to death. We would often trade emails about the series and he died before he had a chance to see it to the end. It's a little heartbreaking when I think about it.

He's the only BSG I know on here, I think. Jon maybe, Sheepy maybe?

And me. I LOVE the series. The plotlines, the cinematography, the character development, its all amazing. I haven't gotten all the way through yet, I'm halfway through season 3. I had to take a break from watching it so I could start emptying my overstuffed TiVo. I've been borrowing the seasons from a friend, but I plan on buying the $249 blu-ray box set very soon.

I loved the series until the final episode. It was so incredibly bad I can't even go back and watch any previous episode, and I thought the series was brilliant until that point. It destroyed everything I loved about the series.

I've almost saved up enough in my change container for it.

That's how I've felt since the end of Stargate and Firefly.

I just into Stargate through Netflix. Watched all 10 seasons of SG1 and I'm now on Atlantis. Great, great show. Looking forward to Universe.

Check out The Middleman too, a hilarious Sci-fi show that was cancelled too soon as well.

I'm appalled sir that you forgot me. I got into the series late, but have been doing nothing but telling people how good the new one is. I am also probably one of the few that actually did enjoy the finale.

After taking some closer looks at Universe, it doesn't seem to be remotely close to canon. I don't know if I can live with that.

Both of you should check out Firefly. It was only on for one season, but I defy you to tell me that it wasn't a fantastic show. You can watch it for free on Hulu, then watch the movie on Netflix instant watch.

I've never heard anything but good things about this show, even from people whose opinions I respect. I've still never seen an episode, but I'll attempt to remedy that.

If only Wash were more of a man, then maybe his alpha wife would have loved him more. He kinda got what he deserved, Rev. not so much.

Maybe the Reverend did. He always hinted at his past life and that it was shady.

I'm going to start downloading my BSG eps to my computer so that I can view BSG on the go from my iPod whenever I want.

That's why I wanted to know more about Rev. Remember that episode where he was wounded and the Alliance healed him at their medical center? That alone made his character interesting on an unreal level.

I guess the question is whether he had earned the redemption. If he had done the exact same types of thing that the villain in Serenity did (my own personal belief), then had he earned it yet?

I do miss Galactica but I miss Farscape a lot more. BSG got as much time as they wanted to end their story. But Farscape didn't get that.

i guess it all comes down to wether or not you believe redemption is som kind of point system where you have to pay off negative credits.
i like to think of it as soon as you have the epiphany and change your ways, make some sort of act to demonstrate sincerity, then you're good to go.
