I've been watching the american remake from syfy. i spent all saturday watching the first season on hulu. i really enjoyed it. they started the second season last night at 9. im not sure how much this show differs from the bbc original. i'll carve out some time this weekend and maybe catch a few bbc versions.

The werewolf stuff is pretty much exactly like the British one, the ghost stuff has a bunch of differences, but the vampire stuff is the biggest departure. None of what is happening was a part of the British one.
I just caught up and started watching the new season and I'm actually enjoying it a little more than the British one.

yeah so i like this show so much, that i make it my business to stay up late and catch the replay of this on syfy. (the drag race is on at the same time and i dont have dvr)
from what ive been reading about the bbc version, they seem to be going a bit "Heroes" with the story, and that worries me.
after this week's (us) episode, i pretty much know that i want to do horrible horrible awesome things to josh (provided he doesnt wolf scratch me :o)

I finally caught up with the remainder of the season and wow what a season finale. The seasons had its ups and downs, but it got really good - and sad - towards the end.
Josh's storyline was no doubt the best. The whole purebread story and his reconnect with Julia was heartbreaking at the end there with his reveal. Sally's turn as a Reaper got really good, although kinda fell apart at the finale, whereas a lot of "rules" for ghosts just seem to come out of nowhere. Not sure what it means for her next season.
The eclipse was a great plot movement for their stories, however, no one knew it was coming? Especially a full one - they had to have known that was coming, unless they didn't pick up a paper or watch any news for a couple weeks beforehand.
Adian's storyline was kinda boring this year. The whole "running Boston" thing the vampires do - is what actually? It's never made clear. I do always enjoy the flashbacks though, as they would have made great episodes all on their own.
Glad it's back for another season. A smart move by Syfy after the dumb one of cancelling Eureka.

yup. this is the final season.
and i really did like josh's story best of all. julia's sequence of events during the eclipse literally made me scream at my tv. poor adorable puppy josh. :glurps:
i felt sad for aidan and suren too at the end of this season, though his last line to mother had me all "fuck yeah!"
as for sally, it was good that she had more involvement rather than just being forgotten at home while the boys go out into the big bad world and do their thing (though that was part of the problem wasnt it). sally will have to rely in herself and shake that victimhood out of her.
