Before I start, I searched for this and found no other thread but if there is one someone just merge it anyway...

I run windows vista 64 bit and I can not get my xm online applet to play anymore. It appears to load find and when I click the 202 tab or any other for that matter, I do not hear anything. It used to work sometimes, now never. I am getting irritated. As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with my puter. Is there any other programs that I can listen to xmo through or am I stuck with their shitty applet? Can someone please help me before I spike my Gateway like a football?

Pertaining info: AMD X2 duel core 2.10GHz
Vista 64 home premium service pack 1
3 GB RAM

Try using XAMP, works great on my xp system, I like the interface better than the XMRO player. I don't have Vista so I cant vouch for the compatibility.

Worth a look though.

I did some reading a while back about this and is was a Vista compatibility thing. I did a quick google though and could not find the article. That aplet needs updating I think was the issue.

Vista 64?

Why bother with XMRO. hahaha. I use the free Windows Gadget for XM Radio at http://www.buildagadget.com/. It is the absolute best. You can install it as a gadget on your comp, enter your username and password, and it works fantastic. I can't give it enough stars.

Works with Vista and Windows 7 Gadgets.

I believe you have to set it to Run As Administrator. I used it run it all the time in Vista.

I can't even get the xamp to start up without crashing on either of my Vista computers, 32bit and 64bit.

XM Online works fine.

That Windows Gadget is the bees knees though.
