I really Love Ron and Fez. I think they are the wittiest two guys on radio these days, but I can't listen to them anymore. Why, do you ask? Because "Dukey Stain" seems to be chatting away in all his spock-like glory whenever I tune into the show. I used to listen to them religiously, especially in the dotcom days, but now I feel like I'm witnessing the fall of the roman empire and Al is just fiddling away. The show has turned into one big, giant cluster fuck. All these "inside" jokes and visiting personalities from the board make it absolutely unlistenable. I thought this was supposed to be a comedy show. I want to laugh, not listen to some dyke drama about people's problems from the board. The Board by itself is NOT funny. It is a good tool to be used in support of Ron and Fez, but it shouldn't be part of the show. The show is called "Ron and Fez", not "message-board-people-who-want-to-be-noticed-because-they-have-no-lives-show". How can they get new listeners when the show is about the FUCKING LISTENERS??!!! Imagine someone tuning in for the first time and trying to decipher the whole messageboard thing. *Click* and *silence* would be the sounds you would hear after they had R&F on for more than 10 seconds. Al has no sense of humor, why then, is he the producer of a radio comedy show in New York City? The show is spiralling down into unfunny land, and Captain Al is taking everyone with him.

Ron and Fez need a better support team and a new format. They have a nationally syndicated show and they have fuckwit tards running it.

You are entitled to your opinion, Chet, but have you actually listened to the show recently? I agree there was a time when Al Dukes was on too much, but recently he's been very much off the air.

As for the messageboard people being on air, I think you may have a point. After these football picks segments, I can't imagine why anyone would want to listen to me and heckler. Other than us, I think all the other messageboard mentions are not actually about the board. It's the girls who kiss each other for the show and crazy guys wishing death on billy.

Oh, and Mad Producer, why are you still so bitter? It's getting old.

I hope the mods. Don't lock or delete this tread. I agree with you 100%, however I feel that you are being a little harsh on board members who want to be on the show it's not their fault it is Al's fault that he can't book real guest's and come up with better bits, etc. The board is ok and should be used sparingly by the show. Not almost every night.

I'd never lock a thread based on someone's opinion differing in any way, as long as it's stated in a thoughtful, civil fashion. One of the other mods (I'm guessing Dan) even gave this thread a star.

That's the whole purpose of this forum...it's called "RON & FEZ SHOW FEEDBACK"...you're supposed to be letting people know what you think. The only thing I have to say in defense of some of the show regulars is that most of them are invited in and don't ask to be on, and secondly, many were show regulars first and became board members second.

I'm sorry I sounded harsh on my post, but I love Ron and Fez and I haven't been able to listen to them lately because it seems like everytime I turn them on, there's Al talkin' bout his pathetic life, or some inside references from people on the messageboard. I want Ron and Fez to expand their listening base, not shut them down. I'm not knocking anyone on the board, I just want...comedy!! :) I don't want drama and disorganization. You of all people must realize this.

French Bread, I'm sorry, I should have been more specific and I certainly didn't want to offend the ladies of the board. If Ron and Fez invite you on the show, then who the hell am I to disagree? Plus, any FEMALE boardmember that wants to be a part of the "auditory stimulation" show segment - please, please, PLEASE do it!! But remember, sometimes too much of a good thing can become old really quick, and then it's no longer a good bit. The saying "Less is more" always rings true - even for radio.

I'm just worried that a prospective listener will tune in and be totally lost, and in turn, end up losing them. Ratings need to go up, not down. The more listeners, the wider the demographics, the merrier the show. :)

What I DO want is more comedy and more bits that involve....uhh.lets see.uhh...RON AND FEZ!!! All you newbies that haven't listened to them on the Good Ole' Dot Com days, don't understand the full spectrum of their Brilliance. Literally, the wittiest guys on Radio. And if Al responded to their criticisms in a non-vulcan-like manner and gave them more of a charged banter, I wouldn't be complaining. But he's a comedic vampire and I'm concerned that he'll end up sucking the rest of the life out of the show.

I think Ron & Fez do a good job of blending their own comedy with members of the board/show. If you think about it, the same thing happens with O&A. They have people on their show, i.e. Stalker Patty, Psycho Mark, etc., that don't work for the station but are somewhat regular characters. You need to listen to the show and learn about the characters while enjoying outside comedy that is blended into the show. I think Ron & Fez do this extremly well. Although a lot of shows feature members of the board and such, if one listens long enough you will begin to learn and understand the characters of the show along with the comedy that Ron & Fez brings.

My issue is with the VOLUME of board members on the show. If you look at two of the most popular NY shows, Howard Stern and O&A, you won't see hundreds of us "regular guys" on the show. The ones that are frequent guests have some humorous quirk that gets them special privilege, yet only on at most a semi-regular basis.

I think R&F allow listeners on the show too often. While it's great to hear people like PanterA, Gvac and Sweet Melissa get a chance to be on the air, I think it's become a crutch for the show. It also makes their appearances less exciting, because they happen too often. Sometimes, less is more.

If people call in of their own valition on a regular basis, that's a different matter. Regular callers are the life-force of any good show. But those calls don't tend to last 4 hours. Daily quick hits from the RonFez.net crew are always welcome, but I'd like to see more bits and "real" guests.

Am I the only one that likes the listeners on the show? To me, it seems like a family. The family is growing. There is a strong sense of realism and intensity on the show. I think that by doing it this way, the fan base expands slowly but more steady than other shows.
