You've failed me before.

Please don't do it again.

I am trying to pair my Motorola HS-810 bluetooth headset (aka SYN9826A) with my LG VX9700 (dare).

It isn't working.

Please help me.

I will reward the winner with a box of various Lego pieces and a colecovision controller.

Thanks.

TC.

do you have another phone or a playstation or computer that is already linked to the headset?
if so, turn that off before attempting to sync the phone and headset

Nothing. I made sure to turn off the bluetooth of my mac in advance.

It lights up in the color blue.

It flashes a bit if I hold the call/receive button for a couple of seconds.

Press and hold the multifunction button in the middle of your bluetooth device while it is closed. The light should now glow blue.

While the bluetooth device is glowing, open the microphone, and the blue light should still be glowing. If it doesn't, repeat the first step.

On your cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device. It should now detect the bluetooth device, and should be titled "HS810". Select this device.

Next, it will ask for a passkey, which is "0000". This confirms the connection has been made. The phone should now display "Bluetooth Connection".

No dice.

I did that already.

And just now again.

Do you have the headset in pairing mode?

Most headsets stay a steady lit color when they're in this mode.

If you're not in pairing mode it won't work.

Does your phone even find the headset?

Motorola headsets suck and this is part of the reason. Do you live in an apartment? Also, have you ever had another device paired with your cell?

I had it in what the manual describes as pairing mode.

My phone does not recognize the headset.

They do. It was trouble when I had my old V710.

No.

Yes. My mac.
