Does anyone else suffer from this problem? It really sucks that I cant play 1st person games. I immediately start sweating profusely and then get a sickening feeling in my head. The only way to eleviate the funk is to lay down for an hour or so.
Anyone else have this problem and have any magical remedy that I can use - I am missing out on so many great games!

In the 90s we called this DIMS (Doom Induced Motion Sickness) because a lot of people got sick playing Doom.
Every now and then I get a little motion sick but then I was sick from something else or really drunk.

I live on this stuff (very prone to motion sickness). Just remember to get the Less Drowsy formula cause it'll knock you on your ass. You don't want to fall asleep while gaming either.

I'm so glad I don't 98% of my gaming is fps.
The only time I get sick playing fps is when I'm hung over. I can't focus on the screen.
Try sitting either closer or futher away?
I find if I'm too far away I see the other things that around my tv and it messes with my eyes.

That happened to me when I first got MOH for the PS2 - after about 20 minutes I started to feel queasy. Somehow I got used to it after a few weeks and have not had that problem since.
I think I played Descent once for about two minutes and almost threw up.

It's a fairly common occurrance. FPS games rarely give me motion sickness, but those third person spaceship games like Descent would make me completely sick.

I was brought up on Wolfenstein and Doom. I have first person immunity in me now.
Anyone playing Wolfenstein on the iPhone? Unbelieveable!
Once you get the movements down. I prefer mousing, but waiting for a meeting, nothing better!

When I play a game like Guitar Hero or Rock band I get dizzy and feel sick. I usually have to take a break after a few songs.

Certain video games it can happen with. It all has to do with the camera play, really. Most times I'm absolutely fine...but I've gotten sick over Doom and once or twice from a Zelda game...

If it was the same day you bought it, you could have returned it to a store for full price.

Its never happened to me as i have testicles but i do know that my older brother cant play them either because it makes him dizzy
I think it may be a thing of the video game generation is just used to it while those who were already in early teens when the atari came out just never got indoctrinated into it like the rest of us

I get a little motion sick playing Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. I got used to COD type stuff, then I went back and played some old Doom style games and actually got a headache. There's something unnatural about the way you move in those games.

It has to do with how the game and graphics are trying to trick our brain into thinking it is 3-d yet our eyes ate only looking at a flat screen.

Normally, I'm good...
Mirror's Edge, however, when played on a big screen...

That's exactly the way I get you hit the nail on the head with that description. I guess it's the way the notes on the track look like they are coming towards you.

How did you get sick from Zelda?
Easy...
1) I am very prone to motion sickness in general, though doesn't usually effect me when I'm playing video/ PC games.
2) When using the slingshot or jumping places using the First Person view (its been a while, but I believe this happened to me while playing Wind Waker for Gamecube)

I cant do the ocean going vessel's either. Went on a gambling boat down in Myrtle Beach and had to lay down for the whole 7 hour trip. It was miserable - I must be very sensitive to motion. The day after being on a plane I still feel like something is pushing me forward. This sucks!
