I found myself annoyed by the song "The Rising", because it was so obviously Bruce believing that he was the voice of the nation, leading us through the healing process after 9/11.

And, besides, it highlights something that's always annoyed me about how he sings: the way he said "Come up up FER the RISSSSSIN'", pronouncing the word "for" like some Okie.
