Bullshit list here.... (http://tampabay.metromix.com/movies/essay_photo_gallery/quentin-tarantinos-greatest-characters/1395849/content)

I don't agree with this list, but it spurs a discussion. Quentin has invented some crazy characters. Who's your favorite and why?

For me it's a toss up between Mr. Pink and The Wolf. Mr. Pink for his spastic jittery insanity, which shouldn't be a trait in a heist man, and The Wolf because he's a consummate problem solver. And in the face of a car full of head pieces, he can still find time to compliment someone on their coffee.

What say you?

I agree, that list stinks

the best tarantino character has to be Jules. you can quote him all day long

my favorite:

"say 'bitch, be cool!' say 'bitch be cool!' TELL THAT MOTHERFUCKIN' BITCH TO CHILL!"

i'd actually say his best female character was Shoshanna Dreyfuss in this new one. I'm in love with her.

Love oren ishii. Loved the origin scene and when she runs down the table and chops that guys head off is one of my favorite scenes in a movie.

I think the movie where he did about the best job with character was Jackie Brown, particularly with the characters of Jackie Brown and Max Cherry. The scene where Max is awkwardly buying a tape he thinks Jackie might like is probably about as charming as anything QT's ever done, and at the end, when it becomes clear they cannot be together, and Jackie drives off to the strains of "Across 110th Street", it's heartbreaking.

And, holy shit, this list has Fabienne on it as one of the "best" characters.

Did whoever make this list see the same movie I did?

I dunno about the BEST but, "Sophie Fatale" is definitely the hottest.

Pulp Fiction had some of the best characters in film history. I still wonder to this day if Butch Coolidge did anything up to his last boxing match to fulfill any family traditions. It's like QT said in his interview w/ Mr. B, most of the lead characters could have their own movie, but he leaves it up to the audience's imagination and leaves us wanting more.

Bill should top this list. He is baddest of the bad, but also kind, sensitive and complex

I'll go best character by movie:

Reservoir Dogs: Mr. Blonde. The definitive Tarantino character in many ways; charming, loquacious, but absolutely psycho in the end.

Pulp Fiction: Jules. You know why.

Jackie Brown: Max Cherry. Robert Forster gives probably the single best performance any actor has given in a QT movie.

Kill Bill, Vol. 1: O-Ren Ishii. Probably the only good performance Lucy Liu's ever given, and both she and the writing give a character that could be just a genre cliche depth.

Kill Bill, Vol. 2: Bill. Just because he's a badass.

Death Proof: Stuntman Mike by default. Just because I have to pick someone, I guess.

I haven't seen Inglourious Basterds yet, so I'll hold off there.

Quentin has invented some crazy characters.

Well, he's certainly ripped off some crazy characters.

I have to say that Aldo Raine is already in my top 5.

He was awesome and I still think he's barely top 5 in the movie.

Landa is the best.

fuck, the movie is named after them, they should of had more than scenes, by far, and perhaps less of the needless german chat in the bar, or cut short the first scene (though i thought it was one of his best first scenes he has ever done in his films)

I loved Nice Guy Eddie.
Even his name alone is great. And his cell phone.

I would like to know more about Esmerelda Villalobos. That whole scene in the Taxi after Butches fight was one of my favorites.

Ever see the full scene? QT made the right decision to cut it down.

i loved butch. but i felt there shoulda been more scenes with him.

i think i read once that tarentino made bruce willis and john travolta the 2 protagonists.
thats why when they never meet, and when they do, one of them has to die.
