Plax gets two years (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4411373)
Does this mean he's done? Lets say he serves the minimum, 20 monfs, he'll only be 33-34.

you have Devin Hester, you are set.........
maybe some team will drop some 1, some teams drop good WRs when a QB has no chemistry with them

Olsen and Forte will ease my pain, but still.

The Giants are kinda in the same boat, but they have 5 or 6 WRs, if 2 can step up we will be fine

We also both have QB's who look like fat-chinned mongoloids.

You didn't want him. The team was reportedly interested if he had been able to avoid jail time.

You gotta love lawyers.
Brafman called the case "a perfect example about how bad judgment can have very serious consequences," and said Burress was treated more harshly because he is a celebrity.
"If Plaxico Burress were not a high-profile individual, there never would be a case," he said. "If he were just John Q Public he could have walked out of the club and he never would have been arrested."
Shut the fuck up asshole! If anything he got off lightly considering what he was looking at if he didn't plead guilty. And to say he got more because of who he is. Shut the fuck up again! John Q Public as he refers to the rest of us would have gotten much worse than that.
I love how these idiots seem to forget that carrying a concealed weapon is a crime. I guess according to this idiot, I can go out right now with a hidden weapon and not have any repercussions if it goes off.
Good riddance you piece of shit. :bye:

No, WE didn't want him.
My board name is Ritalin, but my real name is Michael McCaskey.

Brandon Marshalls out there. He wants out so badly that according to him he "isnt even close" to learning Denvers playbook.

I've thought of that. He was aquitted, after all. But we don't have fuck all to offer the Broncos, and I'm sure they're not of the mind to reunite Cutler and Marshall on the same team.
And definitely not before they play an exhibition game in a couple of weeks.
We'll be fine. I'm more worried about the corners.

There's zero chance the Bears could get him.

This upsets me. He did something wrong, but I understand why he brought a gun to the club. Wasn't there a string of violence involving football players before this happened to Plax?

His teammate Steve Smith was robbed at gun point a week before.
I can't believe there are people who think Plaxico is "being made an example of."
Do you have any idea how strict gun laws are in New York City?
In the state of New York, all you need to purchase a shotgun is a driver's license. You can walk into any sporting goods store and buy one, as long as you're a resident.
In NYC, however, you need a gun license. FOR A SHOTGUN!
It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to obtain a license for a handgun in the city.
If you or I went into a crowded New York City night club with a LOADED, CONCEALED, ILLEGAL handgun and discharged it, we'd be up shit's creek, regardless of whether the only one who got hurt was ourselves.
If anything, Plax got off easy.

What I dont get is why everybody is surprised??? I remember when he got arrested they said the minimum penalty for this type of crime was like 2 years in jail. I thought it was already a foregone conclusion that he was going to do jail time. Was I the only one that expected him to get the 2 years they gave him???

The gun laws are strict in NYC, but the bottom line, about whether this is fair or not, is that he could of killed someone.
Taking a loaded gun into a club tucked in the band of your sweatpants with no holster, or safety is a problem.
If he had accidentally discharged it and shot someone else, it'd be a completely different story. He got an appropriate sentence.

Don't worry, Andy Reid will be there to pick him up at the station the day he's released.

that was a definite, the minimum 2 yrs but i and prob a lot of people thought he'd be able to plea down to a lesser sentence
im not sure if the alleged 3 months plea deal was ever legit but i figured he'd get a least 1 year
