Laundry is one of the few chores I'm compulsive about. I have to do it every week. The longest I've gone is maybe 3 weeks. I rarely "sort," unless I know something will run. I used to swear by Dynamo but now I use this earthy, crunchy crap. And I'm embarrassed by how long I can let the sheets stay on the bed. And if I had my own house instead of an apt I'd probably do my laundry more!

So, who "sorts," what's your fave detergent, anyone use fabric softeners, and how long do you let the sheets go?

(Can you tell I'm bored????)

i do alot more laundry now that i dont have to pay for it. There's nothing better than putting on a nice pair of fuzzy, warm socks, fresh out of the drier.
I love Snuggle!!

I sort, whites from colors. Towels, sheets, and blankets can go together. Dynamo is a good product, I used to work in the Colgate plant in Jersey City where we made Dynamo. I use either Dynamo or Tide. Downy or Final Touch are good fabric softeners. And the standard Clorox bleach. And always have SHOUT on hand, or some other stain treatment, this stuff works. If you don't use it on some stains, like blood or juice, then you will still have spots.

I sort whites and colors (no, not in a racist way) and I have to say I do laundry way too often. I don't know why, it just bothers me when things are dirty. It's kind of odd considering I am a college male. As far as the sheets go, I let them stay on for a while, but not too long. Once I detect any sort of smell off the bed they go.

when i am working on a project i usually just drop it off at my local laundromat. i love that but it gets pricy.

when i do it i'm super picky. i sort colors, greys and blacks, whites with colors on them, and whites. then i either dry on high, dry on cool, dry flat, or hang dry.

i never use fabric softener. i like clothes especially my jeans crunchy and new. i buy jeans evry couple of months just to have that crunchy feeling.

folding i get obsessive about too. my closet ends up looking like a display at the gap.

The guy who does the Oxi-Clean ads is right up there with Don West as one of the great TV pitchmen.

The problem with "Billy Oxi-Clean" (that's what I call him) is that he does a great job selling the product - and then does that GODDAMN GOOFY double thumbs-up. Oh, my god, that's probably the STUPIDEST thing I've ever seen, and it TOTALLY turns me off. :)
