I HATE this cat!

My brother is away for a month. He couldnt bring his cat so he left it here at my moms house while hes away. This cat is an asshole. It doesnt get along with the baby cat we have (it attacks the kitten) and my brother doesnt want it to be an indoor/outdoor cat, so it stays in the basement, alone except when my mom feeds it twice a day. Tonight i had to go down there. The second i was off the stairs it was hissing at me. I ignored it cause its just a cat.

Then it fucking attacked me!

It clawed up my leg and i think it bit me. My left calf is a mess of scratch marks and punctures.

I have to go back downstairs and I'm thinking of wearing jeans and boots and kicking this thing to death if it tries anything. I read online that i can spray water on it to keep it away, but i also saw that if a cat is mad and you annoy it it is even more likely to attack.

I think this thing has to die.

dude, most cats hate to be displaced in any way, especially taken from one location to another, they quickly can get ulcers due to stress. your brother should of prepared better, if you can understand what the animal might be gong through, try to isolate him for a while and make him feel comfortable and he prob wont be as stressed.

We just had new neighbors move in across the street. Their cat has decided he wants to live at my next door neighbor's house and is constantly out there when I put my dog out on the chain. The cat stays out of reach which, of course, makes my dog bark like mad, so I have to bring him in. I fucking hate that cat! i think your siblings pets are just as good as your pets and if the role was reversed you'd want your brother to take care of your guy, so do what you can he, just wants to go home.. but there are about 10% of cats that are just assholes though, maybe you got one of those.

i shot him about 6 times with streams from a spray bottle.

he hid under the coffee table and hissed again

i shot him in the face and he backed away but i just kept shooting under where he had been.

then i backed up and grabbed the catnip bag.

my eyes and the spray bottle were always focused on the animal.

i threw the catnip behind the thing and in the air the catnip spread across the entire room

i checked the rock tumbler. its not done yet so i have to go back

when i left the cat was laying in part on the catnip thats everywhere and lounging.

how long does this catnip last for, cause ive used it all up?

Cats are territorial. He is in a new environment and instead of being upstairs with the other cat he appeared to "hate" he is now not only in a new/ different place, but limited to being in a basement.
That cat feels neglected, even if it's fed and taken care of otherwise.
Now I know my cat is a people person and attention whore... but he also does not want to share his territory with another cat.
I can only recommend to get the cat used to the kitty's smell, introduce it to it over and over by placing blankets and items the kitty lounges on so he will get used to the fact that he is not the only cat in the house.
Don't spray the poor creature, announce that you are there to feed it, gain it's trust!
Hating the fact that you have to feed it is not helping, cause he can sense that.
Hopefully the month in exile for it is over soon.

My cat had to stay at my mom's for four days while I was moving last year and bit the shit out of my mom, who is a cat person. Cats stress just like humans and have feelings such as jealousy and abandonment issues.

I once had a cat that would attack everyone. I ended up grabbing a coat hanger and petting him with that. I was the only person he ever liked.

Cats love me. I have two cats now; one loves EVERYONE, especially if you hate cats. Then he'll never bother you. Then I have another who only likes me and weighs 27lbs. But she loves me so much.
