Jim Dickinson, a legendary Memphis musician and producer, has died at the age of 67.
You look at a list of artists this guy both played with and produced, and it's staggering. Aretha Franklin. The Rolling Stones. Dylan. Sam & Dave. The Replacements.
But this might be his premiere work as a producer:
