I remember that being a lot funnier.
I guess 15 years ago it was a different time.

I caught "Pinball Wizard" in the car, this might be the only night of my life I wish I had the online subscription.

Actually last week a relistened to the whole performance of the grateful Deadat Woodstock. The Dead always complained that they didnt do a good job at the show . Based on the fact that the stage kept getting hit by lightning and it was going through their amps and guitars. The show is actually pretty good in fact
St. Stephen> Mama Tried, Dark Star> High Time, Lovelight
With a trippy 15 minute soundcheck in the middle of somebody who is abviously tripping out of his mind rambling on for the whole time. The lovelight is as always from 69 Awesome

the grateful dead all agree that they "blew" all the big ones. monterey, woodstock, watkins glen, altamont (didn't even go on), egypt

I didn't know Johnny Winter played at Woodstock. Fucking great.
Heard that the whole set will be played sun. afternoon.
I wound up going up to the catskills Saturday -unrelated to woodstock - but damn traffic was awful due to the anniversary.
It was a bit surreal though when i had on the woodstock channel all day.
I loved the back stories- like how The Who didn't want to appear, but got talked into it, or how Carlos Santana didn't know he was going to go on, so he dropped acid just before his set.

My friend went up there on a whim. She loved it. Said that the street over was even better with all the blunts and bon fires.
