You must set the ad_network_ads.txt file to be writable (check file name as well).

Has anyone else noticed a floating arrow next to a boardmembers name? When you click it you end up in a ad maze. I guess thats how they pay for this shithole.

No. What arrow? And I hate ad mazes, so this site will never have them. Just like I've turned down interstitial ads and pop over/unders.
