however, I think it makes the media look like short-sighted idiots. They made such a big deal about him finding Christ and getting clean during the HR derby; Rick Reilly even said, "It's a bad day to be an atheist." Well, is this a bad day to be a Christian?

I think even Ron mentioned back then that it's a bad idea to build this guy up as some sort or Christian soldier, since he's only been sober since like 2005.

I'm not judging Hamilton at all. He's an exciting hitter to watch and I hope to see him playing for many years to come. Addiction is rough. It's not like he said, "I'll never relapse and never sin again."

But, as Ron had pointed out during the home run derby, maybe its not the best thing in the world to sell his sobriety and finding of faith as a success story. Because then shit like this surfaces and kinda tarnishes the whole prodigal son story that they've built around him.
