...without watching television?
You can't watch your shows on the computer, either. No hulu, no YouTube, etc.

I could personally go for a while.
I'd need to find someone else to raise my kids though.
So far, TV is doing an outstanding job.

this really is an awful thing to think about
If it wasn't for sports I'd say I could last quite a while.

Do I have to stay at my house where I am tempted by TV and the internet version of TV, or can I do this time while hiking through South America or at a cottage in the Finger Lakes?

I can't listen to the away games. As bad as Sterling and Waldman are I just can't follow it being broadcast by someone else.

I've gone a month without TV; I was surprised by my lack of boredom.

If someone covered all my expenses to UFC events I could easily never watch TV again.

I think I could go several months. As long as I had music, booze, books, and some freinds around.

As long as I have an endless supply of books, music, my guitar, and my computer, I can go forever.

OK, I've thought about it.
I can listen to local sports on the radio. That's about all I watch.
Give me dispensation for Olympics, World Cup and MAJOR news events and I'll give it up all together.

Not long. I need the background noise when I work. I actually do not watch a lot of TV I sort of listen so I suppose I could replace it with radio. Nah, I would not make it a day.
It depends on how long my deployments are.

A co-worker removed TV from his house. He has 2 boys (ages 3 + 5). He was surprised at how easy the transition was .. he said now the kids just go outside and have fun.
