Long story short, Fez thinks Casey is turning people against Fez.
On air Ron took a call from "Fred"
Fred brought up Yoko Ono (draw your own conclusion as to why).
as for the listening thread
I didn't like that Fred's call was on air.
Fred came back blasting and basically said that it is all of casey's internet "mean" friends that may cost Dave his job.
People posted that Fred was mean.
Fred didn't like that.

Fred has the Beatles saga wrong as well.
Due to the rising costs of running their record company, and an upcoming extravagant tax bill, the Beatles were having cashflow problems in 1969. At the same time, they were negotiating a buyout with their publisher, Dick James, who owned 1/2 of their publishing. James shocked everybody by selling his share to Sir Lew Grade. Rather than working with him, and to satisfy their cashflow problem, the Beatles also unloaded their half of the publishing to Grade.
McCartney and Lennon quickly came to regret this move, and in the years before Lennon's death they began negotiating to buy the publishing back. These negotiations became more intense after Lennon's death, but Michael Jackson swooped in and purchased them. As his money problems grew, Jackson sold half to Sony Records, who will eventually own it all as the remaining half became collateral to loans Jackson needed to save Neverland.
Yoko Ono has never owned the Beatles songs. As Lennon's widow, she does receive his share of the performance royalties, just as George Harrison's widow receives the same. It may suck that Yoko is an equal partner in Beatles, LTD; but that's not unusual in any business where partners die prematurely.

I know Fred had the Beatles thing all wrong, but the thread was not asking about why the Beatles broke up and their awful legal struggles through the 70s when it came to song ownership, publishing, disolving of the band, it was just "what did Fred say"? So, I
posted my memory of what he said.
I thought the same exact thing when he mentioned Yoko owning the Beatles songs.

The fact that Fred's participation in the daily Listening Thread got it locked speaks volumes about him, his real agenda and his participation here.
I'm so sick of him spouting his shit then pulling back and playing the victim, sometimes within the same sentence. Also viciously attacking women isn't going to win you many friends either.
It's so tired and boring and I don't want it on the show or the board.

Sure you were, and that is not said in an accusatory tone. You are annoyed as many of us are, myself included, at this whole bashing of someone's wife. If she were part of the show, sure go for it. But she isnt...and we are allowing a megalomaniac try and dictate and preach his sick agenda against her, yet play the coy role of "well I am the victim. Even after I attack her in my podcast, on the RF show and so forth." Let it fly brother. I know I am at the point I am changing the channel when I hear this shit come up and as a listener I am tired of hearing it...it is getting worn out.
Is my tone here a bit harsh, yes. Am I being civil, yes. I am annoyed at the whole tone of the show lately and finding it hard to listen to the bashing of someone's wife. Especially when all of this is over a BBQ invite. Sheesh. Enough already. Everyone just more on...

Thank you Moe. I stated something else to that effect above. I said it on Monday, fuck I even jumped on you for immediately jumping to Fez's defense before you heard the show where they were talking about the same topic. It made the show non-listenable for me. I don't have twitter but I am curious, who in the world would follow him?
just wanna clarify why I am asking; he has stated just recently that he is a lone wolf and does not need people to follow him... going out of your way and setting up a twitter constitutes that you expect people to follow you, especially if you tweet yourself and don't just use it to follow others... so you are trying to be heard/ followed...
Does that mean he was not honest about his statement?
I am still trying to figure out why Casey, a grown adult, is supposedly immune from criticism on the show but Julianna, an infant, is fodder for retard jokes.
I think Fez's implication that Casey got pregnant to avoid getting a job to supplement Dave's income, true or false, is a laugh riot.
As far as Fred's role on the show goes, Ron could've easily hung up on him if he felt that the call went to far.

To be fair. it was a member "speaking his mind" about Fred, his calls, and his general participation that got the thread locked. The Mods/Admins were pretty clear about not bashing or attacking and one member couldn't hold to the rules. Fred was not winning any friends, but it wasn't his direct actions/posting/whatever in the thread that prompted it.
IMO the post should have been deleted (as it was obviously against board rules of comduct), but the thread couple have gone on after. However, I can also see the point that it was bound to get ugly sooner or later.

I understand what you're saying, but it was his inclusion that made it go to shit in my opinion. He KNEW something was being said about him on the fanboard and instead of letting it roll off his back like he says it always does, he went into damage control mode and come on pretty strong, then went into victim mode when everyone told him to take his shit elsewhere.
So I still directly blame him for the lock on a listening thread, the 1st time I've ever seen that happen the better part of a decade I've been here.
If you got what was coming, you wouldn't be posting right now.

I shouldn't speak for someone else but that never stopped me before.
I think his point was he realized he was wrong in crossing the line. I think he regrets being the cause. The "I got what was coming to me" was the first action that was done to him- and yes, under normal circumstances he would not be able to post about it now.
As far as who caused the thread to be locked, I think Moe's point (ya again speaking for someone else- so sue me) was that Fred intended to throw it out of wack, and unfortunately, he succeeded.
